EcoBottle is manufactured in Sweden in a factory that is powered by over 70% renewable energy such as wind and hydropower. The factory has solar panels on the roof that supply the building and vehicles with green electricity. This means that the carbon footprint of the manufacturing process is zero. It even has a negative carbon footprint for the bottles sold to Northern Europe (-2.37 kg per kg of material).
The bottle consists of 98% biomass waste from sugar cane and has a natural cork made from the bark of cork trees in Portugal.
