In Ydre in the Småland highlands, the Forsell/Helmin family runs the company HUMLE från Kalvsved. Here they manufacture soaps and lotions with hop oil from their own farm and only use organic ingredients.
The farm's own hops are used to make hop oil, which is added to every product. Hops are known for their antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal properties, which is why they were first used to preserve fresh water for beer. A vital factor for wars and long journeys at the time.
