Camelina oil is a 100% cold-pressed, organic cooking oil from the Swedish cultivated plant Camelina sativa, grown with care in Sörmland by the family business By Ranch. By growing and refining the oil locally, they help revive a forgotten food tradition with modern health benefits.
The oil has a mild, round and nutty taste and is naturally rich in essential fatty acids – omega 3, 6 and 9 – in an almost perfect balance. Just 2 teaspoons cover the daily requirement of omega 3. It is also loaded with vitamin E, which protects the body's cells against oxidative stress.
Camelina oil has an exceptionally high smoke point of over 245°C, making it ideal for all types of cooking – from frying and baking to grilling and deep-frying – without losing flavor or nutrition.
