Klinta candles consist of only two components. A vegetable oil blend (soy, coconut and rapeseed) and perfume, which is either a fragrance oil or an essential oil. The candles contain no preservatives, dyes, parabens, sulfates, animal products or any other substance. Even the wick is as simple as it gets. It is lead-free, consists of paper with a surface layer of untreated cotton and is not treated with liquid fuel. Therefore, there may sometimes be a lump of carbon on the wick. The fragrance oils and essential oils are manufactured in the EU and are not tested on animals. They are mixed into the entire candle mass (unlike some others where they are sprayed onto the surface of the candle) and therefore smell good and just the right amount right up until the last hour of burning. Since the melting point of the base oils is so much lower than that of petroleum oils, the perfume evaporates more slowly and retains its mild scents better.

Our oils (which make up about 95% of the candle) consist of:

• The soy wax we use is certified EcoSoya – a soy product free from genetically modified plant materials, pesticides and herbicides. EcoSoya soy wax is 100% vegetable and completely free from petroleum, paraffin and beeswax.

• Coconut oil. Good for the skin. Pure, without additives.

• The rest of the candle's mass is rapeseed oil, which was originally intended for cooking. It is grown either in the UK, Denmark or Poland. As an EU product, we trust that it is ethically produced, GM-free and has not travelled thousands of kilometres.
